Community Grants

As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, the Sonoma County Medical Association Alliance Foundation (SCMAAF) conducts fundraising activities to support its own community health programs and to support programs by other nonprofit organizations that benefit the health and welfare of our community.
Organizations are invited to request funding for a specific project. Please note that only nonprofit organizations that provide health services and/or health education are eligible for consideration. Requests that address a critical or basic need, fund a pilot program, and/or expand a significant service to the community are preferred.
Applications are evaluated and programs are selected for funding in the fall so that recipient organizations can be included in the printed materials for our spring fundraiser. The actual dollar amount of the award is to be determined after the final accounting of fundraising for the fiscal year.

There are many factors that influence the Grant Review Committee decision on grant size. An organization should request an amount that they feel is appropriate for their project. Please note that the Grant Review Committee prefers to fully fund a project.
When is the Grant Application deadline?
The application and supporting materials should be received by October 30th. Information should not be bound or placed in folders or binders of any kind. If mailed, we prefer submissions to be double-sided. Do not send items other than those specifically requested.
