Garden Tour 2008
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What should I wear?
Remember the tour is RAIN or SHINE, so dress weather appropriate. A hat is suggested if it is a sunny day. Please wear comfortable, garden appropriate shoes. The garden paths are varied and irregular. Consider a fanny pack or a small backpack in place of a heavy purse for your comfort.

irisIs my ticket good for both days?
Yes, please enjoy each garden only once, in what ever order you choose, either Friday or Saturday. You may wish to tour the gardens in a more leisurely way over two days – splitting the tour at your convenience. Note that Friday is the busiest day.

When will my ticket arrive?
We will start to mail the ticket/program the second week of April and continue through May 10th. After May 10th please call Meta at 707 526-9748, Janice at 707 578-4537 or Marilyn at 707 539-0186

Can I buy a ticket at a garden if I bring a friend at the last minute?
Yes, all gardens will have tour tickets available and can be purchased with cash, check or Visa/Mastercard.

Can I buy raffle tickets at the Garden Tour?
Yes, each reception table will have raffle tickets available for the Garden Lover’s Raffle and the Art Raffle. The drawing will be May 21st and winners notified by phone. Additional information about the Garden Lover's Raffle and the Art Raffle.

Can I return to only the boutique?
Yes, you may return to the boutique and bring a friend. The boutique is open to the public so a ticket is not required to board the bus at the shuttle location.

Can I return to the workshops?
Yes, your ticket is your reentry to the workshop garden, just mention that you are going to the workshop or book sale.

Can I bring my child?
Yes, infants to children 5 years old are admitted free. For children who are 5 to 12 years old, tickets are available for $10. Please note: These private gardens are not uniformly stroller accessible. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Can I bring my pet?
No, in respect of the garden owners, we do not allow pets other than official companion dogs.

Where do I park?
The parking is on compacted earth areas and the road side is limited, so we ask you, when possible, to carpool.

Are there restroom facilities?
The Garden Tour ticket/program will indicate which gardens have restrooms or port-a-potties available.
